Stephen Harrison Elected to Big Bend SHRM Board of Directors

Seva Technologies Chief Operating Officer Stephen Harrison was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Big Bend Society for Human Resources Management (BBSHRM) as Secretary for 2008. He also holds positions as the Chair of the Membership and Website Committees in addition to assisting on a variety of other committees.

As a board member, Stephen will represent the Chapter at various state conferences throughout the year and will be heavily involved with promoting the Chapter within our local community. Three of the committees that Stephen was on for 2007 (one of which he chaired) receieved awards and recognition by the HR Florida State Council for excellence in "Advancing the Profession/Serving the Profession" of HR at the state conference in October 2007. The Chapter received 3 out of the 5 awards that are given out each year, the first such achievement in the State Council's history. Stephen has been an active member of BBSHRM since February 2005.

BBSHRM is the local chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Their current membership includes over 180 human resource professionals from a variety of organizations in the Tallahassee, Florida area. For more information on BBSHRM visit www.bbshrm.org.
